DISTRICT EIGHT

Because of District Eight's rebellious behavior, the Capitol demolished a fair bit of it during the war. Over twenty years later, Eight hasn't done much to rebuild, partially due to the dictorial reign the Capitol thrust upon in. Most of the District is destitute and ridden with violence and  crime despite the strong Peacekeeper presence.. It's by far Panem's most dangerous District and people go missing on the regular, basically presumed dead. Most people in Eight are filled with insatiable bitter rage that they're unable to properly express, making it an incredibly lonely and isolated place. If people in Eight are physically well enough to work, they spend their days in sweatshops, where they hardly make any ,oney.Even District Eight's richest are far less well off than District One's poorest, creating an abusive cycle of cynicism and defiance. Eight's rebels are still somewhat present, but they're often sent to Twelve for lifelong imprisonment.
