When We're Not So Different

THE ONE-HUNDRED-AND-SECOND GAMES

"I can wait for you at the bottom

I can stay away if you want me to

I can wait for years if I gotta

Heaven knows I ain't getting over you"

Kael Drenn has lived a life where he was forced to be good instead of great.

He spent eight years as the beloved son of Kallista Drenn, esteemed trainer at District Two's Springridge Academy.

He spent nine years under the tutelage of Tullus Maeda, forced to play second fiddle to his son, Rian, as they trained for the Hunger Games.

He spent one year in an odd purgatory where he wasn't sure who he was or if his life had any meaning whatsoever.

Perhaps he'll find out in the arena?
